Students from Abbott Lawrence Academy worked with younger students at the Wetherbee School in this production of the classic "Tom Sawyer". This was the final theatrical performance for the school year in Lawrence Public Schools. Enjoy some photos from the play.

Santa at the Wetherbee on December 1

On Saturday, December 1, the Wetherbee School held their annual Breakfast with Santa gathering, and it was a great success! Families spent time together enjoying breakfast, then while doing arts and crafts activities, and of course while waiting for the main event -- SANTA! What's better -- sitting on Santa's lap and telling him what you want for Christmas, or all of the raffle and CAKE prizes that the lucky families got to bring home! We'll let them decide!

Superintendent Paris would like to recognize the spirit of community service at the Wetherbee School. Three of these students coordinated a "Spa Day" for young girls in foster care. Others helped collect and distribute personal care supplies for the homeless. Thanks to these students for being great role models for the LPS.

Wetherbee Students Celebrate Read Across America Day on March 1, 2019

On Friday, March 1, students at the Wetherbee School celebrated Read Across America Day in honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday on March 2nd! To kick off National Reading Month, Ms. Rastello's first graders celebrated Dr. Seuss style, the second graders in Room 106 had a "mystery reader" (Mr. Ray Rosado) read the book, "Oh, The Places You'll Go!" to the class, and all the way up in the sixth grade students did an online "BREAKOUT" dedicated to the life and works of Dr. Seuss. Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!
