On Tuesday, June 19th, fifth graders at the South Lawrence East Elementary School experienced their Final Assembly. Students were recognized for outstanding achievement, citizenship, and perseverance. One student was even recognized for perfect attendance since first grade. Students and parents were introduced to their new principal at SPARK Academy. Good luck fifth graders at your new schools. Congratulations on a job well done.

On Wednesday, June 13th, the South Lawrence East Elementary School celebrated Field Day. Students enjoyed their day playing games in the fields.

Fourth grade students completed a unit of study on the Revolutionary War this school year. They learned that there are two sides to every story as they studied the events that led to the Revolutionary War. On Monday June 4th and Wednesday June 6th, students visited Minute Man National Historical Park (U.S. National Park Service) to visit the North Bridge and learn more about the "Road to Revolution".

On Wednesday May 30th, the South Lawrence East Elementary School hosted its spring Literacy Night with a special appearence the the Lowell Spinner's Canaligator and the Mill Girls. Thank you Lowell Spinners. Let's read and play ball!
