Lawrence Public Schools, the Lawrence Police and Fire Departments and the Special Olympics of Massachusetts came together to celebrate the Kick Off of the Unified Champion Schools in Lawrence. Students and staff from 13 Lawrence Public Schools came out around the City to cheer, drum, and carry the torch as they pledge to become a Unified Champion School where everyone is included, welcoming and accepting. At each stop on the rally the JROTC displayed the colors, LHS Drumline and Cheer Team performed and the Special Olympics Oath and Pledge were recited.
