Students in grades K-12 and LPS art teachers learned the gift of giving this holiday season by creating artwork to benefit two charities: Habitat for Humanity and Debbie’s Treasure Chest. Students designed animal portraits, painted bowls, vases, trivets and plates for Debbie’s Treasure Chest and LPS art teachers painted chairs in the theme of writers and illustrators for Habitat for Humanity. Over 100 students from 15 different schools in Lawrence participated in this event for a chance to give back to their community.
