Lawrence Public Schools to Provide Universal Free Lunch in 2014-15
Lawrence, Mass. (Aug. 14, 2014) – The Lawrence Public Schools will offer free lunch to all students in the upcoming school year. This is great news for our students and families!
Lawrence schools already provide universal free breakfast, meaning every student in the city will now have the opportunity to enjoy a healthy breakfast, snack and lunch each school day at no cost to families.
Several other Massachusetts school districts — including Boston, Fall River, Fitchburg, New Bedford, Southbridge and Webster —  will provide the same service this year, all through a provision of the federal Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act.
For more information parents may contact Lawrence Public Schools Nutritional Services at (978) 975-2762.
