  • If you have tested positive, see Protocol A – this is your only applicable protocol
  • If you have been identified as a close contact, see Protocol B first, then move to Protocol C if/when symptomatic
  • If you have COVID symptoms, see Protocol C

Protocol A – For individuals who test positive for COVID-19

Notify the HR Department at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. that you have tested positive and include answers to the questions below in your email:

  1. What was the last date you were in the building? (Please include the name of the building)
  2. What date did you test positive for COVID?
  3. If you are symptomatic what date did your symptoms begin?
     

Employees must do the following:

  • Log time off request into ESS.  (May use any available sick, personal or vacation/non-work time - Note “Covid Related” in comment box.) 
  • Isolate for 5 days from the start date of symptoms or date of positive test if asymptomatic. 
  • Await further instructions from the CovidTeam regarding the return to work date. 
  • Following the 5-day isolation period, individuals must mask for 5 additional days when around others. 
  • Do NOT return to work unless you receive a follow up e-mail from the CovidTeam regarding your return to work date.

Protocol B – Close Contacts:

Asymptomatic employees identified as a close contact MAY return to school without quarantining. Those who can mask should until day 10. A test on days 2 and 5 is recommended, but not required. If ANY symptoms develop go to Protocol C now.


Protocol C – For ALL individuals who are symptomatic for COVID-19

Duration: Dependent on symptom resolution
Return to School: Individuals may return to school after they:

  • Have received a negative COVID test result for COVID-19. Note: So long as the individual is not a close contact, if a medical professional makes an alternative diagnosis for the COVID-19-like symptoms, the individual may use this recommendation (e.g., for influenza or strep pharyngitis) in lieu of a test.
  • Have improvement in symptoms
  • Have been without fever for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medications.
  • Wear a mask until symptoms resolve.

 

Employees must do the following:

  • Log any time off request into ESS.  (May use any available, sick, personal or vacation/non-work time - Note “Covid Related” in comment box.)  
  • Contact a healthcare provider if applicable.

  • Receive a negative COVID test OR a doctor’s alternative diagnosis for symptoms.
