LHS Writing Contest Winners

The LHS Spanish Teachers from the Upper School and ALA worked with the committee of the Feria internacional del libro to bring authors to Spanish classes on the Friday of the weekend-long event hosted annually in Lawrence to promote literacy, celebrate art and culture, and bring famous Hispanic authors to our community. This year celebrated Puerto Rico, and authors  spent the day teaching writing workshops and talking about their writing professions with Spanish students of all grades and levels.

The Feria also held a ceremony to honor LHS teachers, recognize the work of four student authors who received awards as part of the writing contest, and showcase student performances in poetry, music, and dance.
