SLEELBrownieBunniesFor the past five years the Bancroft Elementary School in Andover has donated books for the South Lawrence East Elementary School's free bookstore at our Literacy Nights. On Wednesday, April 12th, third grade EL after school program hosted the Bancroft School's third grade Brownie troop to build bunnies and enjoy Girl Scout Cookies. In addition, students from the Lawrence High School National Honor Society assisted in the activity. We thank the students from the Bancroft School for their generosity towards our SLEES community.

The women's basketball team played UNH at the Tsongas Center before a crowd of 4,192.  While the UNH Wild Cats defeated the UMass River Hawks, students were nonetheless entertained by the game and the half time Zumba. The theme of the day was to make smart decisions and make healthy lifestyle choices. A fun day was had by all.
