The Wetherbee School collected 82,600 bottles as part of the Boston Celtics/JN Phillips Auto Glass Recycling Initiative. Celtic players Jeff Green and Walter McCarty congratulated students for their efforts while Lucky performed some amazing dunks. Ms. Gonzalez 7th grade class won tickets to a Celtics game for collecting the most bottles. Great job to all at the Wetherbee School!

Wetherbee students took part in a program called Moving in a Better Direction. The students with partnership with the Lawrence YMCA were able to swim, participate in guitar and drum lesson and recording there only song/rap. Here are a few of the photos.

The Wetherbee School recently sponsored a day for 4th grade student Andy Measamom, who is battling brain cancer. The school raised over $800 in support of Andy and St. Jude's Research Hospital. Students and staff showed their support for Andy by wearing purple or buying a purple bracelet made by Andy's classmates. This very special day showed the caring community and family spirit of the Wetherbee School.
