The HHS Career Fair included area profit and non-profit businesses and organizations which presented information to students from the LHS Health and Human Services School. LHS alumni, Lidia Maldonado and Tivo Concepcion presented information about their jobs with the Massachusetts Probation Department.
Students from HHS gathered for the 2nd Annual Spanish Thanksgiving Food Festival on the Lawrence High School Campus. They studied different Spanish speaking countries, learned facts and traditions and prepared food famous in those countries to share with the campus.

Students, teachers and administrators celebrated a new partnership between the Health and Human Services High School and Northern Essex Community College Lawrence Campus. The purpose of the partnership is to give students the opportunity to experience college early, beginning their Freshman year. Freshmen from HHS were given assignments of medical conditions such as cancer, HIV/AIDS and depression to research and present at the event.

Lawrence Adrenaline is a team that competes in the National STEM League. Students race remote control 1/10 scale cars and develop a business plan for a racecar business including a marketing strategy, identity, and research & development that innovates engineering projects and alternative energy sources.
After winning the New England Region Championship, they qualified for the National Finals in Houston, Texas this May where they competed well against 35 teams from around the country. Final results they placed 2nd in Team Presentations and 2nd in Race Events after an unfortunate crash. They also won 2nd place in the Data Driven Design project for which our students built a working model of a wind turbine generator. Even bigger engineering plans are already in the works for next year. Keep it up Adrenaline!
