Mission Statement
• The School Nurses of Lawrence Public Schools comprehend and respond daily to ALL students' fundamental need for good health and safety, essential to effective educational achievement.
• The school nurses identify, address, and monitor the physical, emotional, social, and psychological concerns of students through a comprehensive array of services which include prevention, health education, and provision of direct health care.
• The school nurses play an integral role on the multidisciplinary team of professionals responsible for coordinating services which enhance the student's capacity for sustained educational progress.
• The school nurses assist in building collaborative parent, and community partnerships, ensuring that such efforts are aligned for student success, are culturally appropriate, and are responsive to the needs of the child's educational welfare.
