On Wednesday, April 12th , the Robert Frost Middle School Specialists hosted students and their families to play "Specials Jeopardy"! Students and their parents answered Jeopardy-like questions on topics such as Art, Phys Ed, Science, Math, Health and Humanities. There were plenty of goodies and snacks to keep their strength up while they worked in teams to earn "Baranowski Bucks", which were traded in for raffle tickets to win great prize baskets. Thanks to all of the families who attended. What a great night!
Fourteen sixth, seventh, and eighth graders from the Frost Middle School have been working hard learning about law and on their Mock Trial case, Stella Johnson vs. Mayville School District. Students were each assigned a role in the case, either acting as a witness or serving as a lawyer. These student lawyers held their Mock Trial performance in front of family, friends, faculty, and Judge Jose Sanchez at the Fenton Judicial Center in Lawrence on December 7. The jury made up of Frost Middle School faculty members and community representatives decided in favor of Stella and her tremendous team of attorneys. Thanks to Discovering Justice and volunteer attorneys Eric Salach and Rebecca Sprizza for the awesome experience.
This year (2015-16), the Frost Middle School Honor Society was comprised of 110 students. These students have earned this distinction by demonstrating success in scholarship, leadership, character, and service. Our students must maintain 95% attendance, honor roll status, and a good discipline record as well. The Frost Middle School celebrated these students on Wednesday, June 1, 2016. Staff, students, families, and community are very proud of each and every FRMHS member!
