Fourth, fifth, and sixth graders from Parthum Middle, SPARK Academy, and the Tarbox braved the cold to become reading detectives for 5 Saturdays in January and February. They studied the period of the Renaissance through the lens of great artists and scientists of the time. With the extra 4 hours each Saturday, students were able to accelerate their skills in evidence-based reading and writing that is needed for both high school and college.
